The Major League Baseball draft will happen starting on July 11. Teams in the league will pick player and the worst the team was the previous year will determine the order. There will be 30 picks in the first round because there are 30 MLB teams.

              The first pick is being picked by the Pittsburgh Pirates. Many mock drafts have them picking Marcelo Mayer from Eastlake Highschool in California. Marcelo is a shortstop. Another potential picks are Henry Davis from Louisville.

              Even though they are drafted the players will have to go through the minor leagues. They will start in single a then double and some skip triple a. The last player who made the team was picked in 2019. The picks from 2020 only started this year because of the pandemic.
