Olympic Boycott?
The 2022 Olympics are rumored to be boycotted by many countries including the United States. They will be held in Bejing China starting February 4th. The reason is because of human rights in China.
We do not know who will and wont be boycotting but its because of human rights. It was a very controversial decision to even award the games to China. Some are saying that they will still compete but under the Olympic flag and anthem.
I think this is interesting because there has never been a Winter Olympic Boycott and that the last boycott was in 1988. We don’t know the full extent to why the boycott might happen and what human rights are said.
